Unhinged explores the encounter between a female body and a metallic structure built to hold it still, echoing a long visual tradition of bodies rendered sculptural, marble like and unmoving. Suspended within a cold, rotating frame that recalls both classical plinths and clinical apparatus, the body is positioned for symmetry and scrutiny.

The title Unhinged plays with a word often used to describe behaviour perceived as irrational, excessive or out of control. Here, it signals a deliberate loosening from what has fixed you in place.
